2nd Annual Art@Discovery Green Kicks Off Nov. 2
75 Artist expected for fine arts program, including Texas's own Sunny Sliger and Marianne Newsom of The Color Condition.

From The CKP Group: On Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, Discovery Green® hosts the second annual Art @ Discovery Green, a fine art and contemporary craft festival featuring more than 75 artists from across the United States. Noted Texas-based artist duo Sunny Sliger and Marianne Newsom of The Color Condition are the featured artists for the event. The event will feature an auction of the Houston Strong weaving created by The Color Condition in response to Hurricane Harvey and the city’s call to action. All of the proceeds from the sale of the piece will benefit the Harvey Arts Recovery Fund, thanks to the in-kind donation by The Color Condition, Houston First Corporation and the Discovery Green Conservancy.
In addition to vendors selling jewelry, furniture, painting and sculpture, Art @ Discovery Green will feature a beer garden, live music and craft activities for adults and children, presented by the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art.
From 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, the artists from The Color Condition will lead a free streamer stick workshop. The Color Condition’s Arcade — a three-part installation of dynamic streamer sculptures on the Avenida Houston campus — is on view through Nov. 15.
