6 Cyclists Hit By Pickup Truck Near Houston: Report

A 16-year-old driver crashed into and injured multiple people in Waller County while trying to blow exhaust on them.

WALLER COUNTY, TX โ€” Multiple people were injured when a 16-year-old driver crashed into six cyclists with a pickup truck in Waller County on Saturday.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. as the cyclists were traveling east on U.S. Highway 290 Business, according to a report from KPRC.

A witness said the driver was attempting to blow exhaust on the cyclists when the crash occurred, according to the report. Two cyclists were taken to hospitals in Waller County, and two were flown to hospitals in Houston, though none of the injuries were life-threatening. Two people refused treatment at the scene.

The driver was not arrested, and the Waller County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident, according to the report.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the cyclists. As of 11:15 a.m. Monday, it had raised over $2,800.
