Houston, Get Ready to Chill - The Popsicle Dash Arrives July 11!

Get ready for Houston’s sweetest summer event! Houston Running Company’s (HRC) annual Popsicle Dash Houston takes place on Saturday, July 11 - where the miles are cool, but the memories are even cooler.

Located at Karbach Brewing Company (2032 Karbach Street), the 5K and 10K kicks off at 7 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 8:15 a.m., and a Kids/Family 1K at 8:45 a.m. From free parking to popsicle-filled festivities, this family-friendly walk/run is guaranteed to keep spirits high and temperatures low!

The Popsicle Dash is about more than cool treats and finish-line photos - it’s also about giving back. This year’s event supports three nonprofit organizations making a real difference in their communities. Ainsley’s Angels provides inclusive racing opportunities for individuals with special needs, Asher House rescues and rehomes displaced animals, and LifeGift Organ Donation saves and improves lives through organ, eye and tissue donation services across North and West Texas. Together, these organizations help ensure every mile has a meaningful impact.

“The Popsicle Dash is more than just a race - it’s an opportunity for the community to come together for a fun and meaningful experience,” said Randi Schooley, co-founder of HRC. “We’re excited to welcome participants of all ages and skill levels, while creating a memorable event that benefits invaluable, local nonprofit organizations.”

The Popsicle Dash is the second event in HRC’s three-part Summer Dash Series, following the Lemonade Dash in June and leading into the Watermelon Dash on August 8.

Medals will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, top three Masters (40+) male and female, and first place age group winners (10-year divisions).
