Harmony School of Discovery Earns Top National Recognition from U.S. News & World Report
Harmony School of Discovery-Houston has officially been named among the best high schools in the nation in the latest U.S. News & World Report public school rankings.
The Houston campus achieved standout honors in regional metrics, ranking as the No. 1 high school in its ZIP code and earning a spot among the top 20 high schools across the entire Houston metropolitan area.
The annual rankings evaluate public high schools across the country using a comprehensive methodology. Metrics include college readiness (30%), math and reading proficiency (20%), math and reading performance (20%), performance of underserved students (10%), college curriculum breadth (10%), and graduation rates (10%).
As part of the Harmony Public Schools system, the largest STEM-focused public charter network in Texas, Harmony School of Discovery emphasizes a curriculum centered on science, technology, engineering, and math, alongside character education, project-based learning, and college preparation. Systemwide, Harmony maintains a 98% high school graduation rate and a 100% college acceptance rate for graduating seniors.
