In a major boost for local educators and support staff, Harmony Public Schools-Houston North has announced an increase to its upcoming fall retention bonuses. The bump comes after the district finalized its budget cycle and confirmed that its financial standing for the 2025–2026 school year surpassed initial projections.

District leadership attributed the fiscal growth to staff efforts in student retention, recruitment, and responsible resource management. Originally announced in June, the updated bonus structure increases payout amounts across all eligible employee categories.

Updated Retention Bonus Breakdown

• Full-Time Exempt Employees: 4% of annual salary for the 2025–2026 school year (calculated using the position held as of June 7, 2026).
• Full-Time Non-Exempt (Hourly) Employees: $1,000 flat bonus (increased from the previously planned $575).
• Temporary Workers: $300 flat bonus (increased from $225). This covers interns, tutors, and crossing guards.

District officials expressed gratitude to team members across all campuses, emphasizing that the increased payout reflects the critical role staff play in supporting students, families, and the surrounding community. Eligible staff members can expect to receive the updated payouts this fall.
