Andre Johnson To Sign One Day Contract To Retire As A Houston Texan
Johnson spent his first 12 years in the NFL with the Texans, and set franchise records in every receiving category.
HOUSTON, TX -- Former Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is expected to sign a one day contract and officially retire from the NFL on April 19.
Johnson, who spent the first 12 years of his career in a Texans uniform, was drafted third overall in 2003 and remains the franchise leader in nearly every receiving category.
Johnson was released by the Texans in 2014, and went on to play the 2014-2015 season with division rival Indianapolis Colts.

He was with the team one season, and was released playing part of the 2016 season with the Tennessee Titans, before announcing his retirement.

Team officials announced in a press release that Johnson will be honored at a press conference at NRG stadium on Wednesday.
