Bicyclist Killed Near Rice University
A bicyclist who had just left a lunch date with her husband was hit and killed by a dump truck near Rice University.
HOUSTON, TX — A bicyclist riding near Rice University was hit by a dump truck and killed.
The accident happened at about noon near the intersection of Sunset and Main Streets.

Houston Police accident investigators said the woman killed had just left a lunch date with her husband, when the dump truck hit her from behind.
According to a KTRK report, the bicyclist and the dump truck were turning right when the fatal accident happened.

Officials have not yet released the identity of the woman, or the driver if the dump truck.
The accident is under investigation.
