Houston, TX, July 11, 2025—July is Ultraviolet (UV) Awareness Month, and while many are aware that too much sun increases skin cancer risk, fewer realize it can also worsen varicose and spider veins. Prolonged sun exposure may cause visible veins to become more prominent and trigger symptoms such as leg pain and swelling—potential signs of vein disease.
To help raise awareness of vein disease and how summer weather aggravates symptoms, USA Vein Clinics is hosting a free vascular awareness event at their location in River Oaks in Houston, TX, at 2615 Southwest Freeway, Suite 220, on July 23, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event, called “Glow and Flow,” is for anyone experiencing vein disease symptoms, concerned about the appearance of their veins, or wanting to know more about maintaining healthy blood circulation. A complimentary lunch will be provided, and attendees who schedule a consultation during the event will receive a free pair of compression socks.
To RSVP, visit USA Vein Clinics’ Eventbrite page or call 224-661-1824.
“Glow and Flow” is a part of USA Vein Clinics’ broader initiative to increase awareness of vein disease and how it affects overall health. If untreated, vein disease can progress to non-healing sores on the legs and an increased risk for blood clots. Doctors stress that early detection and treatment of vein disease can help prevent these complications.
USA Vein Clinics, which is nationally recognized by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for Vascular Testing (IAC), offers minimally invasive procedures to treat vein disease symptoms. In addition to their location in River Oaks, USA Vein Clinics also provides expert vein care in:
- Houston, TX, at 16307 Farm to Market Road 529
- Tomball, TX, at 22625 Tomball Parkway, Suite 450
