APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association) at UTMB and NEXS Medical proudly support the World Hepatitis Alliance and NOhep initiative to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030.
💉 Why it matters:
Hepatitis B is the 2nd leading cause of death from communicable diseases worldwide and often goes undetected.
- 1 in 12 Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders lives with Hep B
- 87% are unaware of their infection
Untreated Hep B can lead to serious or fatal disease and can be unknowingly passed to others.
