Celebrate freedom, fitness and family fun at the 10th annual Independence Day 8K on Saturday, June 27, at Meyerland Plaza in Houston. Hosted by Houston Running Company, this patriotic event features an 8K, 5K, and Kids &amp; Family 1K, welcoming runners, walkers and families of all ages and abilities.
The 8K and 5K begin at 7 a.m., followed by the Kids &amp; Family 1K at 9 a.m. Participants will receive a finisher medal and event T-shirt, and awards will be presented to top overall, Masters (40+), and age-group finishers. After the race, enjoy food, music, drinks and family-friendly activities.
Proceeds benefit Ainsley’s Angels, The Asher House Animal Sanctuary, and LifeGift Organ Donation through the Houston Running Company Foundation.
