The special songs that erupted from the Austin music scene in the mid-1970s were created by some of Texas’ finest songwriters: Jerry Jeff Walker, Townes Van Zandt, Michael Murphey, Guy Clark among them. The Lost Austin Band brings this music and more to the stage at the Mucky Duck, 2425 Norfolk Street in Houston, for an early show at 7 PM on Tuesday, July 21st.
These guys don’t just play these songs, they helped make them and were a vital part of the so-called Progressive Country scene in Austin. Now all members of the Texas Music Legends Hall of Fame, they breath fresh life into these classic songs and their own music.
Don’t want to miss this show! Come early for dinner and stay for “the music that made Austin, Austin.” All ticket sales take place online. However, in the rare cases that there are unsold tickets remaining after online sales close at 5:00 PM on performance day, they can be purchased at the door (cash only).
