AutoNation Chevrolet Gulf Freeway, in partnership with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), will host a free, family-friendly Back-to-School Community Event on Saturday, Aug. 15, (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) to help local students and families get ready for the new school year.
Free backpacks, school supplies, food, and snow cones will be available while supplies last, along with games and activities for children and families. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet HCSO deputies and get an up-close look at several special units, including the SWAT Team, Motorist Assistance Program (MAP) Unit and Parks Unit. Families will also meet and take photos with “Chief,” a pony from the HCSO Mounted Patrol.
