Charges Filed In Glenscott Street Shooting
The man is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
City of Houston: Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man that occurred at 8401 Glenscott about 10:35 p.m. on September 26.
The suspect, Edgar Villanueva (H/m, 44), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 180th Stat District Court. A photo of Villanueva is not currently available.The victim, William Melendez, 19, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives B. Salazar and A. Graf reported:Mr. Melendez was arguing with an unknown suspect at an apartment complex and then walked into a nearby neighborhood at the above address. A dark-colored vehicle pulled alongside him and an unknown suspect shot him. Further investigation led to the identification and charging of Villanueva as a suspect in this case.
