Suspect Charged, Wanted in Woman's Disappearance, Death

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the disappearance and death of a woman last seen on June 21, 2018.

The suspect, Erik Fardell Arceneaux (b/m, 47), is charge with murder in the 178th State District Court for his role in the disappearance and death of his girlfriend, Maria Rodriguez, 29. A photo of Arceneaux is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives G. Sullivan and M. Condon reported:

Maria Rodriguez was reported missing by her family in June 2018. Since that time, an extensive investigation has revealed her boyfriend, Arceneaux, killed her. Neither Maria's body nor Arceneaux has been located.
