Don't Fall For This Phone Scam: Texas Inspector General
The caller claims to be with the Inspector General's Office, and that there's an issue with your Social Security number. Don't fall for it.

HOUSTON, TX -- The Office of the Inspector General is warning Texans about a phone scam that has been reported lately and to not give out any personal information over the phone.
The erroneous callers claim to be affiliated with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Inspector General's Office, the real Department of Criminal Justice said, according to Click 2 Houston.
Click 2 Houston reported that the scammers say "Your Social Security number has been flagged for fraud," and asks the victim to call back at 512-937-2871. If they do, they are told "the Google subscribe is not available. Please leave a message."

A complaint has been filed with the Federal Communications Commission on the matter.
