Eagle’s Trace Promotes Kristin Malejan to Director of Resident Life

Named the 2016 Leader of the Year for Eagle's Trace, Mrs. Malejan will oversee core resident services

Houston, Texas—Eagle’s Trace retirement community promoted Kristin Malejan to Director of Resident of Life.

Mrs. Malejan brings more than eleven years of experience in the senior living industry. At Eagle’s Trace, she has served as Resident Life Manager and a licensed social worker. Previously, she was the Director of Resident & Family Services at Silverado Senior Living.

As Director of Resident Life for Eagle’s Trace, Mrs. Malejan will provide oversight and support to several areas that directly impact the daily lives of more than 775 residents of the Erickson Living retirement community. These include community resources, fitness and wellness services, volunteer programming, social work services, pastoral ministries, home support and memory health programs. The Resident Life Department consists of 70 employees.

“As Eagle’s Trace grows, providing a positive resident experience is more important than ever. Kristin has proven herself to be a compassionate and creative leader who engages with all residents across our continuum of care,” stated Stephen Aigner, Executive Director of Eagle’s Trace. “Promoting her to Director of Resident Life is a natural progression and a reward for the innovative programming and expertise she has developed during her tenure at our community.”

Mrs. Malejan was named the 2016 Leader of the Year for Eagle’s Trace. As a result, she was recognized with other award winners from around the nation at the Erickson Living Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland on March 6.

Mrs. Malejan lives in Houston with her husband of five years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Texas Christian University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Houston.

She is a member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church where she teaches Sunday School and volunteered with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo from 2006-2013.
