Family Dollar Robbery, Scuffle Captured On Video

The robbery happened in South Houston on Nov. 14.

HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Department is searching for a man seen on video robbing a Family Dollar in South Houston Nov. 14. The robbery at 4750 West Fuqua happened at 11:59 a.m., HPD wrote on YouTube.

The video shows the suspect hiding some items from the store in his clothing without making any attempts to pay for them, HPD wrote.

"The employee confronted the male in the parking lot and asked him for the stolen items. The male suspect then threatened to stab the employee with a knife if he did not let him go. The employee then walked back into the store and called the police," HPD said.

The suspect is described as 30 to 31-years-old, 5’10 tall, and has brown eyes. He was wearing a blue hat, gray hoodie, black pants, and a Texans backpack.
