Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 1800 Daugherty Street about 9:30 p.m. last Friday (November 22).
The identity of the male victim, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer K. Hines reported:
The driver of a blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling northbound near the above address and struck a pedestrian (victim). The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were seen moving the body of the victim off the road and into a nearby ditch. When they saw the witnesses, the driver and passenger got back into the pickup truck and fled the scene. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
