FBI, Police Search For Man Who Robbed Houston Area Capital One Bank: VIDEO

The bank robber who threatened bank teller, is described as a thin, white male between 45 and 60 years old, with short, gray hair.

HOUSTON, TX — The FBI Violent Crime Task Force is looking for a man who robbed a Capital One bank in west Houston on Friday, May 12.

Witnesses said a man walked into the Capital One bank located at I-10 and Studemont at about 5:40 p.m. on Friday, May 12 and approached a teller.

According to an FBI press release, the man asked to make a withdrawal and when the teller handed him a withdrawal slip, the man dropped a plastic bag over the counter and produced a small black pistol, which he held on the counter. The man told the teller to put the cash in the bag, and then placed a can of Axe body spray on the counter and threatened to detonate the can as though it were a bomb.

The teller was in fear for her life and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect collected the cash, his pistol, and spray can and left the bank. He was last seen running southbound on Studemont. No one was hurt.
The bank robber is described as a thin, white male between 45 and 60 years old, approximately 5’6” tall, with short, gray hair. He wore a long-sleeve, light green and blue plaid button-up shirt, light blue jeans, and gray sneakers. He also wore a gray baseball cap and sunglasses. He was missing several of his front teeth except for the front right tooth.
