Gas Station Robbery In North Houston Caught On Video

The suspect made off with cash, 60 packs of cigarettes, lighters, and a 24oz Bud Light, the police said.

HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Department is searching for a man seen on video robbing a gas station in North Houston. The video from July 9 was taken at Startstop 65 located at 9998 Hempstead at 7:44 p.m., HPD wrote on YouTube.

The suspect can be seen approaching the cashier and pulling out a handgun, HPD wrote.

"The suspect placed the magazine into the gun, racked the slide, which loaded a round into the chamber. Now that the suspect was ready to rob the store, he then walked around the counter and demanded the money from the register. The suspect took the money from the cash drawer, 60 packs of Newport cigarettes, lighters, and a 24oz Bud Light," HPD said.

The suspect is described as 30-years-old, 5’2 to 5’4 tall, and wearing a maroon hoodie, blue jeans, red and black shoes.
