A Gift of Happiness!
Happiness, Meditation, Breathing Practice, Art of Living, Relaxation, Yoga, Recharge, Stress-relief

At eighteen, being aggressive and difficult as many teenagers, my mother decided to take to me the Art of Living Happiness Program, hoping it will help me be calmer. Little did I realize then that this program would stay with me as long as does. The course taught me a rhythmic breathing technique (the Sudarshan Kriya), and introduced to meditation and yoga, all interlaced with beautiful practical wisdom. I kept up with the daily practice. I saw many positive changes in me even very early on. I could stop myself from reacting from anger. I became more focused and a better student.
Aspiring to do research, I came to the US, to pursue my higher education. With time, I did more advanced programs and became further established in my practice of meditation. The discipline and clarity that came with practice helped me finish my doctoral degree within a shorter time than average with high quality publications. The regular practice of meditation also improved my intuitive sense and enhanced my creativity at work. At times of turbulence, the practical wisdom imparted in the program helped me like a life-jacket to rise above life situations. In addition, I found expression through volunteering in various service projects with the Art of Living Foundation. Besides making me more connected with people around me, it made me socially aware and responsible.
Today I am a postdoctoral researcher working on anti-cancer drug discovery. I realize that, as much as the mind needs to be trained to solve scientific problems, it needs to be taught to handle daily stressors, to unplug, relax, rejuvenate and recharge. I am lucky to have both. I will invite anyone and everyone to experience first-hand, the Art of Living Happiness Program. I believe that the tools imparted in this course is the best thing you can gift yourself, which will be yours to keep forever!
