Hackers Take Aim At President Trump Through Houston Construction Signs

HOUSTON, TX — Motorists in downtown Houston got a shot of politics to go their morning commute after hackers took aim at President Donald Trump through a digital construction sign near the Washington Avenue corridor early Tuesday.

Flashing messages, such as #impeach trump and the more vulgar message, “Trump is Putin’s C-*****”, astonished early morning commuters at Heights Blvd. and Waugh Drive.

“My first reaction, I was laughing,” Daniele Plumber told KPRC. “I was laughing because I thought, ‘this has got to be a joke.’ I made the block and came back around…”

Officials said the sign panel was found unlocked, with instructions inside on how to change the display message, KTRK reported.

But this is hardly the first time this has occurred.

In May 2016, hackers also targeted signs in Dallas, and changed one to read to read, Donald Trump is a shape shifting lizard, The Dallas Morning news reported.

There is no word yet on when the sign message will be corrected.
