Harmony Public Schools Expands Early Learning Opportunities Through New Pre-K Partnerships
Eligible students will have access to high-quality Pre-K programs that support kindergarten readiness and academic success.

HOUSTON, Texas — Harmony Public Schools is expanding access to high-quality early childhood education through new partnerships with Villa Di Maria Montessori in Sugar Land and Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Cardiff Ranch in Katy, creating additional opportunities for families to enroll eligible students in tuition-free Pre-K programs.
The partnerships, led by Harmony's Houston South and West Districts, are designed to support kindergarten readiness while fostering children's academic, social and emotional development in nurturing and engaging learning environments. Students enrolled through the partnerships will benefit from Harmony's strong academic foundation and STEM-focused educational approach, helping prepare them for long-term success in school.
Villa Di Maria Montessori, established in 2017, will serve families connected to Harmony School of Excellence–Sugar Land Elementary. The Montessori school offers an individualized curriculum led by certified Montessori educators and emphasizes hands-on learning experiences that encourage independence, creativity and self-directed exploration.

Licensed and accredited as a child care center, Villa Di Maria Montessori is a Texas Rising Star 3-Star certified program and maintains good standing with all applicable state agencies. Participating students will benefit from personalized learning experiences, a strong emphasis on kindergarten readiness, and alignment between Harmony and Villa Di Maria academic calendars and instructional schedules.
In Katy, Harmony has partnered with Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Cardiff Ranch to serve families connected to Harmony Science Academy–Katy Elementary. The academy utilizes a play-based curriculum designed to promote school readiness through literacy, math, science and social-emotional learning while incorporating early brain development strategies and hands-on STEAM activities.

Students participating in the Kids 'R' Kids partnership will benefit from experienced educators, a structured early childhood curriculum, and learning experiences that support social, emotional and academic growth.
Under Texas Education Agency guidelines, eligible students may qualify for tuition-free Pre-K if they are 3 or 4 years old by Sept. 1 and meet one or more qualifying criteria. Eligibility may include students who are emergent bilingual learners, qualify for free or reduced-price meals, are experiencing homelessness, are in or have previously been in foster care, have a parent serving on active military duty, have lost a parent in military service, have a parent who received the Star of Texas Award, or have a parent who is a public school classroom teacher in the district.
“These partnerships reflect our commitment to expanding access to high-quality early childhood education for families in the communities we serve,” said Ramazan Coskuner, superintendent of Harmony Public Schools' Houston South and West Districts. “By providing strong academic foundations and engaging learning experiences, we are helping students develop the skills they need to thrive in kindergarten and beyond.”
