Our parents were married for over sixty years, worked hard and raised a family. They grew up in the great depression era and our dad fought for our country in the Korean War. Our Dad passed away this year due to Cancer and our mother has been very sick. We filed a "surviving spouse" claim with the Veterans Administration back in March of this year and as of today, still no help from theVA at all. Matter of fact they say the claim might get decided mid to the end of Next year! (Which is crazy) After exhausting our resources this year, we finally had to humble ourselves and start a fundraiser.
