Homeowner Wounds Intruder During Home Invasion In Northwest Houston
Police: Home invasion suspect was dropped off at an area hospital, two others are still at large and considered dangerous

HOUSTON, TX — Three men who were attempting to rob a family at gunpoint ended up in a gun battle with the homeowner, with one of them taking a bullet in the head, police said.
Police were called to a home in the 3200 block of Cliffmarshall Street at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday for a shooting.
The homeowner told police that he was was walking into his home, when he was jumped by three men who began pistol whipping him and forced their way into his home.

The three men forced the man, his wife and two children at gunpoint to lay on the floor.

Police said the homeowner was somehow able to get his own gun and exchanged shots with the three men who took off in a pickup truck.
Several minutes after the shooting, police were called to an area hospital where a man with a bullet wound to the head had been dropped off at the emergency room.
The man was taken Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition, and is expected to recover.
The other two men got away in the pickup, which was found abandoned in an apartment complex near the 9600 block of Montgomery Road.
Police said the homeowner and his family were not injured.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the whereabouts of the other two men involved is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
