Homicide Investigators Charge Man With Capital Murder In Missing Woman's Death.

Skeletal remains found in Montgomery County on Nov. 30 have been identified as missing woman.

HOUSTON, TX -- Harris County Sheriffโ€™s Office Homicide investigators have charged a 32-year old man with capital murder in the death of Amalia Alexander, a local woman reported missing since September 20, 2016.

According to investigators, Jarvis Hickerson and Alexander were in a relationship.

She was last seen with Hickerson, after the two of them left a family members residence on Sept. 19.

Family members reported Alexander missing on Sept. 20, after she failed to report to work that morning.

Hickerson claimed he did not know where Alexander was or how she left the area.

On Nov. 30, Alexander's skeletal remains were found in Montgomery County.

The Institute Of Forensic Science confirmed the remains as of those of Amalia Alexander, and homicide investigators reportedly obtained evidence that Hickerson was near the crime scene

Hickerson was already in the Harris County Jail for violating a protective order that was placed on him after a domestic violence altercation with Alexander earlier this year.
