HOUSTON, TX -- A 35-year old man is facing four counts of indecency with a child and one count of felony evading after investigating claims of sexual assaults in the Denver Harbor earlier this year.
Carlos Jose Ayala, who is accused of groping as many as 10 girls ranging in age from 7 to 15-years old as they walked to and from school, was arrested in February after a short vehicle chase with police.

Those same victims also described Ayala’s 2007 blue Toyota.
During one particular instance earlier this year, Ayala allegedly tried to kidnap a 7-year old girl while she walked home from school with her 9-year old brother.
The girl told police that Ayala drove past them several times, before stopping his car near them and opening his back door.
The girl told police that Ayala came after her and began assaulting her as he tried to force her into his car, but he put her down and ran when her brother began yelling at him.
After police received more information on Ayala’s vehicle, they began searching the area, and tried to conduct a traffic stop on Shotwell Road in Northeast Houston, leading police on a short chase.
When police arrested Ayala, he allegedly admitted to one of the sexual assault incidents, and was positively identified by three other victims, police said.
Investigators believe there might be other victims. Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the HPD Northeast Divisional Gang Unit at 713-635-0200.
Ayala is being held in the Harris County Jail on $450,000 bail and has a court hearing scheduled for March 28.
