Houston Man Who Drove Around With Victim’s Body In His Car, Charged with Murder

Witness who gave Brayan Rodriguez-Valtierra aq ride to a gas station, said he sas acting odd, told him there was a body in his car

CONROE, TX --An 18-year old Harris County man accused of driving around the Montgomery County area with a decomposing corpse in his car, is expected to have his case presented before a Montgomery County grand jury later this month.

Brayan Rodriguez-Valtierra, was arrested in Liberty County on Feb. 11 and is charged with first degree murder in the death of Pete Figueroa, Jr., 67, whose body was found inside Rodriguez-Valtierra’s car, parked at a Captain D’s Restaurant in Porter.

Figueroa was last seen on Feb. 3 in the 13800 block of Ella Boulevard, in Harris County, where he and Rodriguez-Valtierra shared an apartment.

Figueroa’s body was discovered Feb. 7 after a witness reported seeing Rodriguez-Valtierra driving a white Nissan sedan on its rims on the northbound feeder road of U.S. 59, early that same morning.

The witness told investigators that Rodriguez-Valtierra’s rims were throwing sparks as he drove, and that he finally pulled into the Captian D’s parking lot in the 23800 block of U.S 59 when he couldn’t go any further.

The witness said he pulled in to see if Rodriguez-Valtierra needed any help, and that he asked for a ride to a gas station on FM 1314 and Texas 242.

The witness told police that during the drive, Rodriguez-Valtierra was acting strange, and would mutter to himself and curse.

The witness said when he tried to calm him down, Rodriguez-Valtierra allegedly told him there was a body inside his car.

The witness dropped Rodriguez-Valtierra off at the gs station and called 911.

Poilce went to the restaurant where they found Figueroa’s body inside the car.

An autopsy revealed that Figueroa was strangled and had also suffered a shotgun blast to the face.

Rodriguez-Valtierra was found several days later in Liberty county and being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
