Houston PD Arrested Suspect, Charged In Shooting At 1600 West Loop South
The suspect, Kevin Rafael Wright (b/m, 21), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 179th State District Court.

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 1600 West Loop South (West Interstate Highway 610 South) about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday (May 24).

The suspect, Kevin Rafael Wright (b/m, 21), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 179th State District Court. A booking photo of Wright is not available at this time, pending further investigation.
The victim, 21, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers R. Rivera and S. Cole reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a hotel at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The suspect, Wright, was arrested at the scene without incident.
