Houston PD Investigate Fatal Crash On W. Montgomery Rd

October 3, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8200 West Montgomery Road about 5:45 a.m. today.

The identity of the male victim, 68, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer M. Tamez reported:

The victim was driving a maroon GMC Sierra pickup truck southbound at the above address when the vehicle veered off the roadway. The pickup truck then struck a road sign, a metal fence and a small tree in the 7400 block of Virgil before coming to a stop. Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

It is believed the victim may have suffered a medical episode prior to the crash.
