Houston PD Investigates Person Of Interest Wanted For Questioning In 2018 Shooting

Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the shooting of a man that occurred at 8900 Westheimer at about 11:05 p.m. on January 12, 2018.

The person of interest is identified as Dashaun Wallace. A Montgomery County Sheriff's Office photo of Wallace, who is not charged in this incident, is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M..Miller and Detective D. Stark reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Chavez suffering from a gunshot wound. Chavez stated that he was approached by two unknown black male suspects, both approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, one wearing a black hoodie and the other wearing a red hoodie. He said the males began assaulting him and demanded his wallet before shooting him once in the arm.

Further investigation identified Dashaun Wallace as a person of interest in this case.
