Houston PD Investigation Into 2 Deaths At 1425 Mansfield Street
The investigation is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the deaths of a child and an adult found in a swimming pool at 1425 Mansfield Street about 2:40 p.m. on Saturday (May 16).

The identities of the victims, a male, 5, and a female, 25, are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detective J. Pickett and Officer R. Waterwall reported:

Officers responded to a report of a drowning at the residence at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the victims unconscious. Witnesses stated the adult female had drowned in an attempt to save the boy from drowning. Both victims were transported to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
The investigation is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
