The victim is identified as John Pennington, 52.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Escobar and K. McDonald reported:

Mr. Pennington was found unresponsive in front of a residence at the above address. Witnesses stated a possible disturbance occurred between Pennington and another male relative at the residence. It appears the altercation escalated and Pennington sustained a laceration to his neck. Paramedics were called and pronounced him deceased.
