April 13, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10800 South Post Oak Road about 11:40 p.m. on Sunday (Apr. 12).

The identity of the male victim, 51, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Hill reported:

The victim, a bicyclist, was in the median at the above address and suddenly headed west, across South Post Oak Road, where crossing is prohibited. The bicyclist was then struck by a silver Nissan Sentra traveling southbound. The driver immediately stopped. Paramedics were called and transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The male driver, 44, showed no signs of impairment, and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
