Houston PD: Investigation Into Fatal Crash At 22600 Eastex Freeway
The victim lost control of the Neon, spun around and struck a metal guardrail.
May 1, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 22600 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 4:50 p.m. on Thursday (April 30).
The male victim, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer J. Wu reported:
An unknown male was driving a white truck (unknown make and model) southbound at the above address at a high rate of speed when he swerved into another lane and struck a black Dodge Neon, driven by the victim. The victim lost control of the Neon, spun around and struck a metal guardrail.

The driver of the truck fled the scene without rendering aid.
