Houston PD: Investigation Into Fatal Crash At 5100 North Eldridge Parkway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 5100 North Eldridge Parkway about 6:15 p.m. last Friday (May 1).

The male victim, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer M. Mathews reported:

The victim was driving a red Kia Forte southbound at the above address and reportedly weaving in and out of traffic. He failed to maintain a single lane, crossed over the northbound lanes and struck green Chevrolet Impala head-on.

The driver of the KIa died at the scene. The male driver, 62,of the Impala was transported by Life Flight helicopter to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
