Houston PD Investigation Into Fatal Crash At 6800 Southwest Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6800 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 10:40 a.m. today (Wednesday, May 20).

The victim, a pedestrian, was running across the main lanes of the Southwest Freeway at the above address when he was struck by a gray Cadillac DeVille. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The victim's disabled vehicle was parked on the left shoulder of the roadway and he may have been attempting to prevent it from being towed.
The driver of the Cadillac remained at the scene. There are no charges in this case, pending further investigation.
