Houston PD Investigation Into Fatal Shooting At 11959 South Sam Houston Parkway South
When the victim failed to check out of his motel room on time, the front desk clerk went to check on him

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 11959 South Sam Houston Parkway South service road about 7:30 p.m. last Friday (May 22).

The victim, approximately 50 to 60 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

When the victim failed to check out of his motel room on time, the front desk clerk went to check on him. Inside the room, the clerk found the victim lying on the floor. The clerk called for an ambulance and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased. He had suffered a single gunshot wound.
At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
