Houston PD: Investigation Into Fatal Shooting On 1300 Andrews Street
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 1300 Andrews Street about 7:20 p.m. last Friday (May 1).
May 4, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 1300 Andrews Street about 7:20 p.m. last Friday (May 1).
The victim, Lewis Anthony Mathis, 41, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Collier and J. Stroble reported:
Mr. Mathis was seen standing alone on the sidewalk at the intersection of Andrews and Wilson streets just prior to the shooting. A short time later, an unknown vehicle drove by the location and shots were fired from the vehicle by an unknown suspect. Mathis was struck multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
