The victim is identified as Danis Valladares, 36.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Valladares lying on the side of the roadway. He was unresponsive and had sustained an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. Paramedics arrived and pronounced Valladares deceased at at the scene.
Witnesses heard what may have been a verbal altercation between Valladares and another male, seen armed with a gun. The witnesses heard several gunshots and observed the male (suspect) run toward a newer model, black truck. The suspect vehicle then fled and traveled eastbound on Whitton Drive.
The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male in his late 20s to early 30s.
