Houston PD: Investigation Into Fatal Shooting At 4407 Mowery Road

Press release from the Houston Police Department:

May 5, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4407 Mowery Road about 6:55 p.m. on Monday (May 4).

The victim is identified as Errick Smith, 45, of the above address.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Brown and C. Sharp reported:

Mr. Smith was shot while sitting on the front porch of his residence at the above address. Neighbors heard several gunshots, but no argument or screaming prior to the shooting. Smith was found by neighbors, who attempted to provide medical assistance.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Smith deceased.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
