Houston PD: Investigation Into Shooting At 2501 Lazy Hollow Drive

April 20, 2020 - The shooting of a man at 2501 Lazy Hollow Drive about 12:15 a.m. today (Apr. 20) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The victim, Benjamin Cheffin, 22, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment at the above address and met with the female who called 911 to report the shooting. Paramedics were called and transported Mr. Cheffin to a hospital. He had sustained one gunshot wound.
Officers were advised Cheffin had used a cell phone to record the shooting. The video was reviewed by investigators and the Harris County District Attorney's office, which determined the case would be referred to a grand jury.
