April 24, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 6100 State Highway 288 about 9:50 p.m. on Thursday (April 23).

The victim, Cory Taunton, 24, was transported to an area hospital where doctors expect him to recover.

HPD patrol officers responded to a road rage/disturbance call at the above address. Mr. Taunton and witnesses stated they were driving on the roadway when another unknown vehicle pulled up next to them. Someone from inside the unknown vehicle then fired several shots, striking Taunton once in the left arm. HFD paramedics transported him to the hospital.
At this time, there are no known suspects.
