Houston PD: Investigation Into Shooting At 6110 Kenilwood Drive

March 24, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile that occurred at 6110 Kenilwood Drive about 8:30 a.m. today (March 24).

The female victim, 12, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers J. De La Torre and A. Carroll reported:

Officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address. Witnesses stated there was a small group of juveniles in a bedroom and one was in possession of a pistol. While putting the pistol away, the juvenile, possibly accidentally, fired the weapon, striking the victim in the leg. The juvenile who fired the pistol fled the location before officers arrived.

Currently, there a no charges in this case as the investigation is continuing.
