Houston PD Investigation Into Shooting At 8116 Garland Street

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 8116 Garland Street about 12:10 a.m. on Tuesday (May 19).

The victim, Kacey Rodriguez, 18, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives G. Black and A. Hernandez reported:

Ms. Rodriguez was cooking in the kitchen of her boyfriend's house when she was struck in the arm by one of many gunshots that came through the walls and windows.

A gray or silver vehicle, possibly a Ford Fusion, was observed driving down the street and slowing in front of the above address. Muzzle flashes were seen coming from the driver's side window. The driver then continued westbound on Garland Street before turning northbound on Bliss Street.
