The victim, Quoc Duy Vuong, 46, was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives S. Ragsdale and A. Graff II reported:

Mr. Vuong was entering his residence through the front door when an unknown suspect inside a dark-colored pickup truck with a white hood fired several shots at him. Vuong was struck once in the neck. The driver fled the scene.
