Houston Police Department Investigates Chimira Lane Shooting

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 3501 Chimira Lane about 5:50 p.m. on Saturday (January 25).

The victim, Edward Johnson, 50, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Barker reported:

Mr. Johnson was standing with multiple other people outside a food mart at the above address when a silver four-door vehicle drove by the location and a suspect inside fired multiple shots. Johnson was struck one time and the other people fled the scene. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
