Houston Police Investigate Fatal Crash On Navigation Blvd

October 1, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7500 Navigation Boulevard about 5 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 30).

The identity of the male victim, 49, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer N. Luu reported:

The victim was operating a black Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling westbound at the above address as a red Hyundai Accent was traveling northbound on 75th Street and stopped at the red light at Navigation. When the light turned green for the Hyundai, its driver proceeded through the intersection. The motorcyclist failed to stop at the red light, went down and struck the side of the Hyundai. The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
