Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting At 6800 Gulf Freeway

March 16, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 17507 Imperial Valley Drive about 5:45 p.m. on Saturday (March 14).

The identity of the victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Arrington and L. Orborn reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased. Further investigation determined the victim was walking on the sidewalk when an unknown suspect exited a nearby vehicle and shot him. The suspect then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.

The vehicle is described as a late 90s to early 2000s light-colored Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
