Houston Police Officer Shoots Man While Investigating Criminal Mischief Complaint

HOUSTON, TX -- A Houston area man was taken to Ben Taub Hospital after he was shot by a Houston Police Officer in northwest Houston Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at about noon in the 14800 block of Estrellita Drive where officers were investigating a criminal mischief complaint.

During the call, officers and the suspect began fighting, and the officer pulled his gun and fired.

The man was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in unknown condition.

Although the shooting involved a Houston Police Officer, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
